ADR LUNCHTIME SERIES

The Power of Gender to Impact Negotiation in Mediation

This presentation will examine various mediation settings where negotiation dynamics are so difficult as to require advanced mediation skills. A study of areas such as gender dynamics, power imbalance, bullying, and intimidation by a party will shed light on perceptions that impact the mediation session. Participants will consider attitudes and/or structures that may cause damage and prevent resolutions. Dr. Voyles will discuss negotiation tones, styles, and techniques for managing these situations.

Dr. Richard Voyles, President and co-owner of Conflict Resolution Academy, LLC
