Using behavioral-based crisis communication techniques for assessing and managing conflict and crisis situations, Dr. Vecchi will examine workplace violence, suicide, depression, psychopathology, and other interpersonal issues. Dr. Vecchi will offer techniques for ADR professionals to distinguish between conflict and crisis situations. In particular, Dr. Vecchi will demonstrate when to use principled negotiation versus crisis intervention tools and how to build rapport with an individual in the midst of conflict versus an individual in crisis.
