Part IV - Disputes & Appeals

Like parties to private sector contracts, sometimes the Government and its contractors have differing opinions regarding the duties, rights, and obligations of each party under their contract. While most disagreements are resolved by negotiation before either party resorts to legal processes, a handful of controversies ripen into claims or appeals before an administrative tribunal or a court. As the chapters in Part IV explain, ADR is available from the beginning of a controversy all the way through the appellate courts.
